Review: Moshi's SnapTo Wireless Charger with a Magnetic Twist

I'm always looking for the perfect wireless charging accessory, and with so many gadgets to charge, one thing I look for is the smallest footprint possible. Fortunately, Moshi sent me the SnapTo Magnetic Wireless Charger $49.95) to try, and it offers something impressive, no footprint. That's because it uses a combination of magnets to keep your phone in contact with the rubberized charging pad, plus an optional swiveling wall-mount that attaches via the included 3M adhesive strips.

I mounted the charger to a flat surface on my bedpost and routed the included USB-C to USB-A cable behind my bed to a USB port. Now, I can keep my phone close at hand and leave my nightstand free, or at least have more space available for my Apple Watch charger, and AirPods Pro charger.Moshi

The SnapTo series from Moshi includes cases with metal plates strategically aligned around the Qi charging coils so the phones will "snap to" the charger and stay perfectly aligned. If you don't have a Moshi SnapTo case, or prefer to use your iPhone without a case, you can apply the included adhesive metal strips. The charger supports 10-watt charging via the included USB-C to USB-A cable. My only enhancement would be to include a battery, but that would add to the cost.

Pros

  • Compact, rubber-coated Qi wireless charger
  • Optional swiveling wall-mount via included 3M adhesive strips
  • Magnets strategically positioned to work with Moshi cases
  • Includes adhesive metal strips for other cases
  • 10-watt charging via included USB-C to USB-A cable

Cons

  • Does not include a battery

Final Verdict

The SnapTo family of products from Moshi gets even more practical with the Magnetic Wireless Charger with optional wall mount.
